DELETE ACCOUNT, STORE & CIRCLE

Effective Date: 5 June 2026

This page explains how to delete your user account, your Store, and your Circle on BOOMieY, including the retention periods and what happens to your data after each type of deletion.


1. DELETE YOUR USER ACCOUNT

1.1 How It Works

When you request deletion of your BOOMieY user account, your account enters a 30-day grace period. During this window:

Once the 30-day grace period expires, the following are permanently deleted:

To preserve the experience of other parties who interacted with you, some data is anonymised rather than removed:

1.4 How to Delete Your Account (In-App)

  1. Open the BOOMieY app.
  2. Navigate to your Profile tab (the person icon in the bottom navigation bar).
  3. Tap Settings (the gear icon in the top-right).
  4. Scroll down to the DANGER ZONE section.
  5. Tap Delete Profile.
  6. Read the information about the 30-day grace period, tick the acknowledgement checkbox, and tap Schedule Deletion (30 days).

You will be signed out immediately. To recover your account, sign back in with the same credentials before the 30 days expire — the app will prompt you to restore your account.


2. DELETE YOUR STORE

2.1 How It Works

When you delete your Store, it enters a 90-day grace period. During this window:

  1. Open the BOOMieY app and navigate to your Store Dashboard.
  2. Tap Settings (the gear icon).
  3. Scroll down to the ADMINISTRATION section.
  4. Tap Delete Store.
  5. On the Danger Zone screen, review the options:
    • Deactivate temporarily — hides your store without deleting it. You can reactivate it anytime.
    • Delete Store — the 90-day soft-delete flow described above.
  6. Confirm your choice. You will be asked to confirm again before the deletion is scheduled.

To restore a soft-deleted Store within the 90 days, go to your Circle Setting and use the Create Store flow — the app will detect your deleted Store and offer to restore it.


3. DELETE YOUR CIRCLE

3.1 How It Works

When you delete your Circle, it enters a 90-day grace period. During this window:

3.2 Important: Retire Your Store First

You cannot delete your Circle while you still have an active Store. If you attempt to delete your Circle and you own an active Store, the app will ask you to delete or close your Store first (see Section 2 above). This protects your customers and order history.

3.3 How to Delete Your Circle (In-App)

  1. Open the BOOMieY app and navigate to your Circle Profile.
  2. Tap the gear icon (⚙) in the top-right corner to open Circle Setting.
  3. Scroll down to the Delete Circle row (marked with a red trash icon).
  4. Confirm the deletion in the dialog. The app will remind you that you have 90 days to restore your Circle.

To restore a soft-deleted Circle within the 90 days, open the Circle tab — the app will detect your deleted Circle and offer to restore it.


4. RETENTION PERIOD SUMMARY

Purge jobs run daily in the early morning (UTC): accounts at 03:00, Stores at 04:00, and Circles at 05:00.
