CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP POLICY
Effective Date: 5 June 2026
1. PURPOSE
BOOMieY is a relationship infrastructure platform that enables Customers and Sellers to establish and maintain direct business relationships.
This Policy explains:
- How Customer information is shared with Sellers;
- How Sellers may use such information; and
- How Customer–Seller relationships are facilitated through the Platform, including data access and export features.
This Policy should be read together with the Privacy Policy, PDPA Notice, Customer Relationship Ownership & Portability Policy, Merchant Policy, and Seller Agreement.
2. ESTABLISHING A RELATIONSHIP
When you choose to interact with a Seller through BOOMieY, including but not limited to:
- Purchasing from a Seller;
- Joining a Seller’s Circle or Community;
- Subscribing to a Seller;
- Following a Seller;
- Registering for a Seller’s event, promotion, or campaign; or
- Otherwise interacting with a Seller through the Platform,
you acknowledge that:
- You are establishing a direct business relationship with that Seller;
- The Seller is an independent entity separate from BOOMieY;
- The Seller is solely responsible for its own products, services, and customer relationship management;
- BOOMieY acts solely as a technology platform facilitating such relationships.
3. INFORMATION SHARED WITH SELLERS
Depending on your interaction with a Seller, BOOMieY may share certain Customer information with that Seller for legitimate business and operational purposes.
This may include:
- Name;
- Email address;
- Phone number;
- Order and transaction information;
- Delivery and fulfillment details;
- Membership, subscription, or participation status;
- Customer engagement history within the Seller’s ecosystem;
- Customer support communications related to the Seller;
- Platform-generated identifiers required for relationship management.
Information shared is limited to what is reasonably necessary to facilitate the Customer–Seller relationship and Platform functionality.
4. PURPOSE OF SHARING INFORMATION
Sellers may use Customer information solely for legitimate business purposes related to their relationship with the Customer, including:
- Order fulfillment and delivery;
- Customer support and communication;
- Membership and subscription management;
- Service delivery and account management;
- Warranty, refund, return, and after-sales support;
- Relationship management and customer engagement;
- Marketing communications where permitted by applicable law and subject to consent requirements;
- Loyalty, rewards, and promotional programs.
Sellers must comply with applicable privacy laws and BOOMieY Platform policies when using Customer information.
5. CUSTOMER DATA EXPORT
As part of BOOMieY’s mission to enable businesses to build and maintain customer relationships, eligible Sellers may be permitted to export certain Customer Relationship Data from the Platform.
Exportable information may include:
- Name;
- Email address; and
- Phone number.
Export access is subject to eligibility requirements and may depend on factors including:
- Seller account standing and compliance history;
- Transaction thresholds or business activity levels;
- Verification and security requirements;
- Applicable legal and regulatory requirements;
- Platform policies and technical limitations.
BOOMieY reserves full discretion to approve, restrict, suspend, or revoke data export access at any time to protect Customer privacy, Platform security, and legal compliance.
By interacting with a Seller through BOOMieY, you acknowledge that eligible Sellers may export such information in accordance with this Policy, applicable laws, and Platform policies.
6. SELLER RESPONSIBILITIES
Sellers receiving Customer information must:
- Comply with all applicable privacy and data protection laws, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia) where applicable;
- Use Customer information only for legitimate and lawful business purposes;
- Implement reasonable security safeguards to protect Customer information;
- Respect Customer privacy rights and consent preferences;
- Refrain from selling, misusing, or unlawfully disclosing Customer information;
- Ensure compliance with BOOMieY Merchant Policy and Seller Agreement.
BOOMieY may restrict or revoke Seller access to Customer data or export features in the event of policy violations or legal risk.
7. CUSTOMER RIGHTS
Customers retain all rights provided under applicable law, including but not limited to:
- Access to personal data;
- Correction of inaccurate or outdated information;
- Withdrawal of consent where applicable;
- Request for deletion where legally permitted;
- Objection to certain forms of processing.
Requests may be directed to BOOMieY or the relevant Seller depending on the nature of the request and applicable law.
Nothing in this Policy limits or overrides Customer rights under applicable law.
8. PLATFORM ROLE
BOOMieY provides the technology and infrastructure that enables Customer–Seller relationships.
BOOMieY does not:
- Own Customer–Seller relationships;
- Act as the seller or provider of goods or services (unless expressly stated);
- Control Seller business operations;
- Guarantee Seller performance, product quality, or service outcomes.
9. POLICY CHANGES
BOOMieY may update this Policy from time to time.
Updated versions become effective upon publication on the Platform.
Where required by applicable law or where changes are material, BOOMieY may provide additional notice.
Continued use of BOOMieY constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
